The ODU News Department is looking for a paid news & media relations intern to join our team this fall. If you’re passionate about journalism, public relations and higher education, this opportunity is for you. The deadline to apply is July 21 and is only available to select majors:
📰 In this role you’ll:
- Support media outreach and strategy
- Write, research and proof content for ODU News (in AP and University style)
- Learn media tracking tools like Meltwater
- Draft media pitches and maybe land a byline!
- Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment
🌟 Who should apply?
Undergraduate students with a 2.5+ GPA majoring in fields like Journalism, Communication, Professional Writing, History, Philosophy, Media Studies and many others (list of eligible majors: ). You’ll also enroll in course COMM 368 or ENGL 368 to earn academic credit.
